Weather!!!

Hello there, I hope that you all had had a very nice week.
These days, I was looking through the window comfortably sat on my couch watching the wind blowing from SW with force 8, heavy rain knocking over the glass, white wavelets and foam at a distance on the salt water lagoon, the winter has arrived I though.
Thinking to my self about the usual questions that my “terrestrial” friends put to me about weather conditions in Brazil, every time I arrive home on leave.
Questions such as “ how is the weather in Brazil?”, followed immediately by the answer “ good “.
Next comment from same kind of friends “you are a lucky guy, good weather nice girls…”, well first thing and the reason for this post, is that the weather is not so good as the “boys” think and the girls are very far way ashore and port calls just very short.
Please my friends you can see bellow some pictures taken on board a Brazilian VLCC tanker on course to the terminal just after being loaded at Campos Oil Field.

Impressive pictures. There is always a reality which is overlooked, even by seafarers, when imagining or telling tales of the far side of the world.
