The Portuguese ferry Ilha Azul, with 374 passengers, grounded on the rocks Baixa dos Remédios while entering the harbour of Graciosa Island on the Azores on August 23rd. After assistance from tugs , Ilha Azul managed to berth at Graciosa and land the passengers, although the cars and cargo could not be offloaded immediately as the port side door could not be used. Damage to the vessel is understood to be extensive and will be ascertained in drydock...
