Ilya

The general cargo vessel Ilya seen at Aveiro with pilot boat coming alongside. This 1994 built vessel is icestrengthened and has icebreaking capabilities. The shape of the bow allows her to "ride" the ice pack and use the weight of the vessel to break it. She was built in Ukraine at a delivery price of about $8,5M. She is currently operated by Balthellas Chartering.
