Breakers at port entrance

This is what the bar entrance looks like in heavy weather. It is nice for courageous surfers, but definitely not appropriate for a safe passage (inadequate UKC, loss of steering, danger for the pilot and pilotboat crew and so on). The fairway buoy on the picture is about 3m high and the swell is about 200m to the South of the buoy.

That looks like Port Nolloth on the South African west coast near the border with Namibia.
There one comes across the "bar" and then immediately turn hard to Stbd to come up the channel , just a stones throw from the beach!
