Busy days at Viana Yard...

"Industrial Dream", the latest heavylifter built for a German owner with sea trials scheduled for this month. Alongside on her starboard side is the small coaster "Kormoran" which delivered the main engine for another newbuilding ("Corvo") for a Portuguese owner. We had to bring Kormoran alongside Industrial Dream since the crane on that berth is the only with capacity to lift the main engine.
On the right side of the picture the two new Navy Patrol Boats are being fitted, being the two first of a series of eight.
Inside the drydock (on the left) is "Volcan de Tamadaba", a Spanish built ferry that came for final works at Viana Shipyard. Since Barreras Shipyard has no drydocks (the vessels are built on a sincrolift) they come to Viana for full paint job.
Still on the construction platform "Corvo" is waiting to be floated...

Que bom ver o Estaleiro de Viana a construir navios a bom ritmo. Pena que em Setúbal, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz e Lisboa se não posso dizer o mesmo...
